Meet Laura
I’m Laura Camfield, founder of Flora & Wild, named in honour of my Nana, Flora. Prior to my career in horticulture, I spent 12 years designing products and delivering projects in financial services and software. My love for plants truly blossomed after moving to Linlithgow in 2020, where I found myself happily digging in the rain, in November, to transform my new garden.
Driven by a growing passion, I completed an HND in Horticulture with Plantsmanship at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh then trained with the National Trust for Scotland before moving to a horticulturist role at St Andrews Botanic Garden. Recently, as an active member of Burgh Beautiful Linlithgow, I’ve had the pleasure of redesigning several community garden beds, including sustainable, perennial plantings at the canal basin.
Through Flora & Wild, I’m excited to share my expertise and enthusiasm for planting design. My style is naturalistic, with a focus on biodiversity and supporting wildlife.
